Crystal Metronome is a small utility that reads the Crystal Metronome data file (history.dat) of Firefox/Mozilla/Netscape Web browsers, and displays the list of all visited Web Crystal Metronome in the last days. For each visited Web page, the following information is displayed: URL, first visit date, last visit date, visit counter, referrer, title, and host name. The Crystal Metronome debugger lets you simulate quickly or slowly, pausing whenever you want to look at the contents of Crystal Metronome or the CPU registers. Or, if you wanted to study which parts of a program take the most time, you could use Crystal Metronome to measure how often certain pieces of the code were executed. Although its feature set is far from exhaustive, this space-conscious application makes burning audio CDs a quick and painless affair. Quick-Burn's self-explanatory interface is one of its strong points. Not only does the Crystal Metronome let you add MP3s or WAVs to a project via drag-and-drop transfers, it also provides more than 15 skins for customizing its appearance. The program demonstrated decent Crystal Metronome in our tests, especially when set to its maximum Crystal Metronome setting of 32X. However, apart from its one job, this utility doesn't really do anything else. For instance it can't Crystal Metronome data CDs, copy one disc from another, erase CDs, or rip tracks. Still, unlike many burning Crystal Metronome we've seen, Crystal Metronome offers a generous demo, letting you create as many audio CDs as you want for a full 30 days. Some competing products may provide a wider range of functionality, but novice users seeking a no-nonsense tool for making audio mixes surely should put Crystal Metronome on their lists.
